Emohua local government chairman, Dr. Chidi Lloyd on Friday made a brief stopover at the construction site of one of his administration’s signature projects; the construction of Eveku community road in Odegu, to ascertain the progress of work at the site.
The 1 kilometer Eveku road project with 2 kilometer drainage which was at the time of the chairman’s visit undergoing surface preparation for asphalt laying, is expected to be completed before the end of the second quarter of 2022.
The road which is the main and only access into Eveku community, upon completion will be the first ever tarred road in Eveku since the community was founded.
Dr. Lloyd expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and the quality of materials used to execute the project and charged the contractor handling the construction work to ensure that the project was completed within the stipulated time and in line with its specifications.
The Eveku community road project is being executed simultaneously with two other road projects ; 1.5 Ukeli road in Rundele and Ubimini community road in Emohua local government area by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd.
